Junior Squash (Winter-Spring)

The junior squash program focuses on squash fundamentals (racket grip, swing and footwork) and shots.


What will the students learn in this class?
The junior squash program focuses on squash fundamentals (racket grip, swing and footwork) and shots. Students also learn proper court movement.

What are the benefits of this class?
As squash is a one-on-one sport, this course is designed to take players from the basics through competitive match play. Once players have grasped the fundamentals, they can use their skills in matches. Players can also practice shots without a playing partner. It’s the ideal sport for a quick workout.

Who will teach this class?
Peter Amaglio has coached squash in Japan for more than 20 years and can provide instruction in English or Japanese. He believes in teaching people to enjoy the game.

  • No Class Winter Term: Feb 21
  • Age groups are suggested.
  • Indoor shoes and eye guards, which can be rented at the Recreation Concierge, must be worn at all times.
  • A minimum of two students per section is required in order to run class.
